    Joseph’s concert work includes commissions from the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, the Yale School of Music, ASCAP /The Henry Mancini Institute; a recording with The New Hudson Saxophone Quartet; and performances by Eighth Blackbird, Tactus, Fireworks, The String Orchestra of New York City, The New Jersey Symphony Community Chorus, and conductors Alexander Mickelthwate and Vince Mendoza.   


    Joseph completed his B.M. in Music Composition at the Manhattan School of Music studying with Giampaolo Bracali and his M.A. at UCLA with Paul Chihara and Roger Bourland.  As the first graduate of UCLA’s Composition for Visual Media program, his studies not only included traditional film scoring, but also film production classes at the UCLA Department of Theatre, Film and Television.


    Mentors during study abroad and in masterclasses include Martin Bresnick, Louis Andriessen, Aaron Jay Kernis, and Julia Wolfe, as well as film and television composers Mark Snow, Bruce Broughton, Jack Smalley, and Ira Newborn.
